We were overwhelmed by the thoughtful responses to our Frontline Worker giveaway.  After reviewing all of the submissions, we are pleased to announce the lucky winner of the weekend getaway to the Pinehurst Resort and Spa, Vonda Reives.  We were moved by her story, and wanted to share it with you!

“Vonda is a Nurse Practitioner who owns and operates the only medical practice in Robbins, NC.  Robbins is an extremely rural town in Moore County.  Ms. Reives is an African American provider in an area where the African American population is less than 1%.  In the area of the COVID-19 pandemic and the racial unrest that is going on, Ms. Reives continues to go to work every day to ensure that her patients can receive health care services.  She never stops serving her patients with a smile and loving care even when their beliefs contradict her beliefs and medical science.  She works to educate them on the risk they may have based on their health history, as well as, how they can put others at risk.
